[Via Satellite 02-20-2015] Signalhorn has increased the availability of Xtend, a fully managed, high-speed business-grade service solution used to connect corporate networks to global business locations, to retail chains such as restaurants, petroleum/gas stations and grocery stores.

Xtend employs a combination of terrestrial circuits, 3G/4G wireless, and satellite links to meet Point-of-Sale (POS) requirements, which stay connected to a broadband network and managed 24/7. The solution includes a number of security features and meets Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) security compliance. Signalhorn is expanding Xtend due to the recent increase in security breaches at mega-franchise locations.

“Xtend is a leader in the petroleum retail market in Europe and Africa,” said Robert Kubbernus, president and CEO of Signalhorn. “With over 1,500 installations in place and contracts for over 6,000 in 2015, we have a proven solution for retail outlets. Moving into other retail markets such as restaurants, supermarkets and clothing stores affords these enterprises the same successful technology to streamline their IT networks, lower costs and manage operations through one state-of-the-art solution.”
