[Satellite Today 04-20-09] Arianespace won a deal to launch Sky Perfect JSAT’s JCSAT-13 satellite, the company confirmed April 17.
JCSAT-13, built by Lockheed Martin, will be launched by an Ariane 5 rocket in 2013 from the Guiana Space Center and placed into orbit at 124 degrees East. JCSAT-13 will feature an all Ku-band payload incorporating 44 communication channels that will provide uplink and downlink coverage over Japan, Asia and Oceania.
The is the seventh launch agreenement Arianespace has signed this year with a major operator.
