Esteemed Satellite Engineer Richard Dutchik Passes Away

      Richard Victor Dutchik, a well-known and respected satellite systems engineer and consultant, passed away on March 22.  He was 72 years old.

      Born in Detroit, Michigan, Richard dedicated his entire career to the satellite telecommunications industry. He had decades of experience in systems engineering; project, station and technical management; installation and field engineering for satellite, microwave and fiber optic communications throughout the world.

      Richard’s career included work with Globalstar, Space Systems Loral, Hughes, Singaport Telecom, Sprint, Harris Corp., and Comtech. His experience in the Middle East, Pacific Basin and Northwest Africa, made him an invaluable project leader, equipped with a wide ranging cultural knowledge on top of his extensive industry expertise.
