      Arianespace Appoints Le Gall Replacement

      Arianespace has appointed Stéphane Israël as its new chairman and CEO. Israël replaces Jean-Yves Le Gall, who is the new president of French space agency CNES. Israël moved to the aerospace industry in 2007, first as advisor to Louis Gallois, CEO of EADS, then holding various operational management positions at Astrium Space Transportation and Astrium Services. In May last year, Israël was appointed chief of staff to the French Minister for Industrial Renewal.

      UKspace Selects SSTL CEO Matt Perkins as Vice-Chair

      Matt Perkins, CEO of Surrey Satellite Technology (SSTL), has been elected Vice-Chair of the U.K. Industry Association for Space (UKspace), the trade association of the U.K. space industry. He will take the place of Stuart Martin, who has been appointed CEO of the newly formed Satellite Applications Catapult in January.

      Measat Appoints New Vice President of Broadcast Sales

      Measat Satellite Systems has appointed Jarod Lopez as vice president for broadcast sales. In this role, he will lead all the broadcast distribution sales activities across the Measat and Africasat fleet of satellites. Lopez will also support the expansion of the Measat business into the African region.

      Prior to assuming this role, Lopez was Measat’s senior director of sales and marketing. He has been with Measat since 2006.

      LGS Innovations Appoints New CIO

      LGS Innovations, an independent subsidiary of Alcatel-Lucent, has announced the appointment of Rich Martin to chief information officer. In this role, Martin will serve as the technical and personnel leader, establish strategic priorities, and manage operations for all information technology-related activities.
