      Cobham Promotes Ashton, Hellebrand to New Executive Vice President Positions

      Cobham has announced the creation of two executive vice president (EVP) positions and the promotion of two current management team members to these positions. David Ashton – currently the Vice President of Cobham’s Tactical Communications & Surveillance (TC&S) strategic business unit – has been appointed as EVP for Business Development & Technology. He will report directly to the CEO and become a member of the company’s Group Executive committee.

      Julian Hellebrand – currently Chief of Staff to the CEO and Group Director of Communications – will be the new EVP for Lifecycle Management (LCM) & Programme Management. He will continue to report directly to the CEO, and remain a member of the Group Executive committee.

      Asia Broadcast Satellite Creates New Managing Director of Africa Position

      Asia Broadcast Satellite (ABS) has announced the appointment of Felix Damiba as its new Managing Director for Africa. In this newly created position, Damiba, who was previously Sales Director at Comtech EF Data, will be responsible for business development, and managing sales and operations for the African market.

      Inmarsat Hires Bill Petola to Expand Asia-Pacific Aviation Business

      Inmarsat has announced the appointment of Bill Peltola as Senior Director for Aviation Services in the Asia-Pacific region. He will be responsible for developing market opportunities for the company’s satellite-based, aviation safety services in the region, and introducing Global Xpress (GX), Inmarsat’s high-speed mobile broadband service, delivered through Ka-band.
