Bentley Walker Offers Weather-Resistant C-Band
U.K. satellite ISP Bentley Walker launched C-band satellite Internet services for customers in Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
The service aims to bring two-way broadband Internet to remote areas prone to tropical storms and other heavy precipitation, as C-band uses a longer wavelength for transmission and is less prone to drop signal strength in bad weather. The service is being uplinked from the Skylogic teleport in Sardinia, Turin, as a result of a service partnership between the companies.
Bentley Walker’s rain-fade resistant remote Internet service will be offered to corporate user through 5:1 and 10:1 contention packages. Customers will receive fixed prices independent of their upload and download usage.
