[Satellite TODAY 10-18-10] Arab Advisors’ research found that 1,024 kbps is the most common DSL speed offered in the Arab region, the analysis firm announced Oct. 18.
DSL remains the prevailing Internet technology in the Arab world, and the report, “ADSL Rates in the Arab World: A Regional Comparison 2010,” found that the average total annual cost for the residential ADSL service in the Arab region stands at $736.40 per year, more expensive for services at 1,024 kbps than other regions, the firm said.
DSL connectivity is cheapest in Morocco and most expensive in Iraq, Arab Advisors found.
