[Satellite Today 10-12-09] Digicel is relaunching its satellite wireless broadband service in of Tonga using the Aptilo Carrier Wireless Service Management System, Digicel announced Oct 7.

            The network uses the Motorola Canopy Wireless Broadband System, which uses satellite as the Internet connection out of the islands. The Aptilo solution prioritizes bandwidth according to service levels and allows Digicel to offer predefined guaranteed bandwidth levels to enterprise and premium customers.

            “Aptilo’s service management solution allows us to deliver consistency in the service we are now providing to our customers,” Digicel CEO David Butler said in a statement. “We look forward to exploring all the possibilities now available to us with the Aptilo platform to further enhance our service offerings.”
