Raytheon Gains $83.6 Million For Radars Going To U.S. Navy, Allied Overseas Militaries
The Navy gave Raytheon Co. [RTN] an $83.6 million firm fixed-price contract for radars needed by the Navy and by allied military forces on their F/A-18E/F Super Hornet strike fighter aircraft, the Pentagon announced.
Raytheon will provide 93 AN/ALR-67(V)3 Radar Warning Receivers, with 43 going to the Navy, and 26 to Canada, 19 to Australia and five to Switzerland.
The company also will provide supplies and services.
That radar provides accurate identification, lethality and azimuth displays of hostile and friendly emitters.
Work will be performed by February 2012.
This contract was not competitively procured.
