Satellite-based data communications provider Comtech Mobile Datacom Corp. has received a $282 million supply order from the U.S. Army for the supply of upgraded ruggedized computers manufactured by a third-party vendor, Comtech announced.
     The transaction, which falls under Comtech’s Movement Tracking System contract with the Army, is the largest single order in the company’s history and increases the total award under the contract to $426.2 million. The contract has the potential to reach $605.1 million if all options are exercised.
     Also included in the order are ruggedized keyboards, docking stations, interface cables and base plates, all of which will be integrated into previously deployed systems.
