Glowlink Upgrades Interference Detection System

Satellite spectrum monitoring and interference detection company Glowlink released a new version of its Model 1000 Spectrum Monitoring and Interference Detection System.
    Version 2.10.1, features improved performance over previous versions, new system features and extensions of signal detection and identification capabilities.
    The new version will be distributed free to Glowlink customers which already are subscribers to the company’s maintenance plan.

Integral Develops Dashboard For Ground System Analysis

Integral Systems Inc. has developed a control system feature that will provide customers with the ability to view and analyze ground system data.
    The Enterprise Executive Dashboard allows customers to view and analyze critical data from across the entire ground system, apply business logic to raw data and generate and display key performance indicators using graphical and interactive Web-based displays.

Intelsat Integrates Technology With Sea Tel, iDirect

Intelsat Ltd., Sea Tel Inc. and iDirect Inc. have teamed to provide a product enhancement of Intelsat’s Network Broadband Global Maritime service.
    The integrated solution combines Sea Tel’s 2.4-meter global maritime antenna with iDirect’s automatic beam switching technology and global network management features. As a marine vessel crosses Intelsat’s satellite footprints, the iDirect technology automatically re-establishes the remote and antenna onto a new beam or network.

Raytheon Completes NPOESS First Phase

Raytheon Co. has completed the first phase of a communications upgrade for Antarctica, a milestone for the National Polar-orbiting Operational Environmental Satellite System (NPOESS).
    The upgrade of the off-continent satellite communications link at McMurdo Station more than triples the bandwidth available for scientific research, weather prediction and health and safety of those stationed at McMurdo. The project is part of the NPOESS command, control, and communications segment.

Shiron Tests InterSky Platform

Shiron Satellite Communications has demonstrated its InterSky VSAT platform.
    The platform, which uses a DVB-S2 modulation over satellite in both Ku- and C-band, transmitted at speeds of 117 megabits per second. The capability allows InterSky users to get higher bandwidth efficiency by transporting more information over less bandwidth.

Temix Launches New Portable Terminal

Temix has launched a new compact portable satellite terminal.
    The EasyFlysat–SP is a self-powered portable satellite terminal suited for applications where energy is not available. The terminal includes all the features of EasyFlysat family with the addition of a lithium polymer battery pack which allows for continuous use up to 30 hours. It also features foldable solar panels.
