[Satellite Today – 2-25-08] Shiron Satellite Communications has demonstrated its InterSky VSAT platform, the company announced Feb. 25.
The platform, which uses a DVB-S2 modulation over a satellite in both Ku- and C-band, transmitted at speeds of 117 megabits per second. The capability allows InterSky users to get higher bandwidth efficiency by transporting more information over less bandwidth.
