Globecomm Wins $3.8 Million Infrastructure Contract

[Satellite Today – 2-14-08] Globecomm Systems Inc. has been awarded a $3.8 million infrastructure from an unnamed satellite service provider in Asia, the company announced Feb. 13.
    The contract is to provide four turnkey antennas and related subsystems that will be used to expand an existing teleport built by Globecomm. Financial details were not released.
    Separately, Globecomm promoted Paul Scardino to vice president of sales, the company announced.    Scardino, who previously served as senior director of the Europe, Middle East and Africa, will manage and develop Globecomm’s corporate sales offices.
