Africasat-1 Signs First Customer

[Satellite Today – 2-14-08] Measat Satellite Systems Sdn. Bhd. has received the first contract for capacity on its Africasat-1 satellite, the company announced Feb. 14.
    SkyVision Global Networks LLC will lease C-band transponders to provide broadband services between Europe and Africa and on the African continent starting in April.  
    Africasat-1, formerly named Measat-1, was launched in 1996.
