Cisco Names Vice President Of Global Government Solutions Group

Cisco appointed retired U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Steven Boutelle, vice president, Global Government Solutions Group, the company announced.
Boutelle will lead Cisco’s efforts in support of the Internet Routing in Space program, an industry-government collaboration being managed by Intelsat General Corp. and intended to demonstrate the viability of conducting military communications through an Internet router in space. Cisco will provide commercial IP networking software for the on-board router.

Harris Names EMEA Broadcast Executive

Harris Corp. has named Richard Scott vice president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) operations for Harris Broadcast Communications, the company announced.
Scott, who has worked in the communications industry for more than 25 years, most recently served as senior vice president for systems and technology services at Ascent Media.

Northrop GrummanNames SMC Lead Executive

Northrop Grumman Corp. promoted Edward Alexander to corporate lead executive for business with the U.S. Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC), the company announced.
Alexander will serve as the principal corporate point of contact for all Northrop Grumman business with SMC and promote and coordinate the activities of all Northrop Grumman sectors supporting SMC business and community interests.
Alexander has worked for Northrop Grumman since 2003.

UDcast Hires Vice President of Corporate Development

UDcast has named David Richardson as vice president of corporate and business development, the company announced.
Richardson will contribute to the development of new products, market channels and alliances in the fields of mobile TV and WiMax.
