Measat, NDS Sign CAS Contract

[11-15-07 – Satellite Today] Measat Broadcast Network Systems, owner and operator of Malaysian pay-TV service Astro, signed a contract with NDS Group to license and develop the VideoGuard conditional access system, Measat announced Nov. 15.
Astro will migrate its satellite pay-TV services to VideoGuard, which offers consolidated conditional access and middleware services. Astro had deployed NDS’MediaHighway middleware in as the operating system for set-top boxes
Financial details of the contract were not released.
