[11-01-07 – Satellite Today] Telespazio has acquired 85 percent of Fileas, a satellite broadcasting company, from Agence France Presse, Telespazio announced Oct. 31.
Telespazio said the acquisition extends its range of satellite data broadcasting services and intensifies its efforts towards developing other service activities. “I consider this operation as a unique opportunity to support the development of our service offer as well as to expand our presence in France,” Giuseppe Veredice, CEO of Telespazio, said in a statement.
Agence France Presse holds the remaining 15 percent of the company.
