[09-17-07 – Satellite Today] Irish National broadcaster RTE is increasing its satellite communication fleet by two antennas, Advent Communications announced Sept. 17.
RTE is purchasing a pair of Newswift 1.2-meter Ku-band satellite antennas that will be mounted on new radio communications vehicles.
Separately, Advent has been awarded a contract to supply antenna systems to Eurocom, the company announced Sept. 17.
The 1.8-meter C-band systems will be integrated onto digital satellite newsgathering vehicles for VIVE TV in Venezuela.
The value of the contracts was not disclosed.
