Worldspace, Fiat Sign Satellite Radio Distribution Agreement For Italy

Fiat Group Automobiles and Worldspace Inc. have signed a marketing agreement to make Fiat the first Italian automobile manufacturer to install and distribute satellite radios in its models, the companies announced July 19.
Worldspace plans by late 2008 to begin broadcasting throughout Italy. By late 2009, Fiat will feature Worldspace satellite radios as optional, factory-installed equipment in certain Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Lancia models.
Worldspace’s programming will include a channel dedicated exclusively to Fiat, its dealers and customers.
