FCC Sets Deadline For Comments On Satellite Radio Merger Rule

The U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is accepting comments until Aug. 13 on its rule that would prohibit the merger of Sirius Satellite Radio and XM Satellite Radio, the agency announced July 13.
The FCC issued a call for comment in June about whether its 1997 satellite digital audio radio service prohibition against the companies combining should be waived, modified or repealed.
Reply comments must be filed by Aug. 27.
