One day after XM Satellite Radio subscribers nationwide experienced unexpected service outages or significantly degraded service, the broadcaster announced that normal service levels had been restored.
In a May 22 statement, XM said “the problem occurred during the loading of software to a critical component of the satellite broadcast system, which resulted in a temporary loss of signal from one of the company’s satellites.”
