The U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) granted TerreStar Networks Inc. a reservation for 20 megahertz of spectrum in the 2GHz frequency band.

TerreStar, a majority owned subsidiary of Motient Corp., plans to use the spectrum in its North American 4G integrated mobile satellite and terrestrial communications network to provide service over conventional wireless devices throughout North America.
