[5/7] The first Galileo navigation message has been transmitted through the GIOVE-A Navigation Signal Generator Unit developed by Thales Alenia Space and the GIOVE Mission Segment, Thales announced May 4.

The GIOVE Mission Segment is designed to validate key technologies in the Galileo system and demonstrate operational capabilities. It comprises a network of 13 sensor stations around the globe equipped with Galileo receivers, plus a processing center at the European Space Agency’s European Space Research and Technology Center facility in the Netherlands.
