Alcatel-Lucent and Hughes Network Systems will develop architecture and technology for use in ICO Global Communications’ alpha trial of mobile interactive media services, ICO announced May 1.

Scheduled to begin in spring 2008, the trial will test ICO’s converged mobile media service that will be based upon ICO’s next-generation geostationary satellite, ICO-G1, and the deployment of an ancillary terrestrial.
