Norsat International Inc. has received multiple contracts from the U.S. Army for portable satellite systems and ancillary equipment, the company announced April 27.

The systems will be used primarily to enable the transmission and reception of video, data and audio content from outside of the continental United States. The orders are valued at about $1 million, and the entire order is expected to be shipped in the second quarter.
