Globalstar Inc. has launched its Globalstar Simplex data service to customers throughout Central America and the surrounding maritime region, Globalstar announced April 24.

The one-way satellite service provides an asset tracking and fleet management system to customers. It has been offered in the United States and Canada since 2003 and throughout Europe, the Middle East and the North Atlantic region since early 2005.
