Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. (MHI) and Arianespace have agreed to combine their commercial satellite launch services, Mitsubishi announced April 24. The agreement will provide customers with a choice of the Arianespace’s Ariane 5 or Mitsubishi’s H-2A.

In 2003, Mitsubishi and Arianespace along with Boeing Launch Services Inc. established the Launch Services Alliance to provide backup vehicles for their respective launches.
