[4/23/07] Germany’s Premiere signed an agreement to use SES Astra’s Entavio digital satellite platform, the first pay-TV client for the service, SES Astra announced April 19.
"The agreement with Premiere is a major step forward for Entavio and gives us the critical mass for the upcoming market start of our new satellite connection,”Ferdinand Kayser, president and CEO of SES Astra, said in a statement. "Entavio positions itself as an open and neutral technical satellite platform, which gives satellite households access to a whole range of digital TV programs and services and offers program operators access to those households.”
Details of the contract were not released.
