Intelsat and Arqiva have signed a multi-year, multi-million-dollar contract for satellite capacity to carry digital programming after the British Broadcasting Corp. (BBC)’s digital switchover, Intelsat announced April 17.
Intelsat will provide space segment capacity on its IS-907 satellite at 332.5º East, which Arqiva will use as part of its distribution service to approximately 90 main terrestrial transmitter sites in the United Kingdom.
