Mobile Satellite Ventures (MSV) will deploy what is touted as the first integrated 4G and satellite broadband trial powered by Nortel mobile WiMax and IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) technologies.

The hybrid satellite-terrestrial trial was announced March 27 at CTIA Wireless 2007; MSV is designing a next-generation integrated network to incorporate the benefits of both terrestrial and satellite wireless communications systems for customers across the United States and Canada.
