Turner Broadcasting System Inc. (TBS) has selected Eutelsat Communications to supply capacity and services for delivering three entertainment channels to cable networks in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Luxembourg, Eutelsat announced March 13.

Eutelsat will provide a broadcasting package to include multiplexing, encryption and uplinking as well as transmission to cable markets in continental Europe.

Broadcasting with English and German soundtracks, the three TBS channels – Boomerang, Cartoon Network and Turner Classic Movies – will benefit from privileged access to more than 170 regional cable network partners offering subscribers the KabelKiosk channel product commercialized by Eutelsat’s German subsidiary.
