Datapath Inc., a global provider of satellite and wireless communications networks, announced Nov. 28 its appointment of James Balkcom, to its board of directors.
Balkcom, chairman of the board of advisors for Corporate Psychology Resources, a leadership consultancy, has more than 30 years of experience in corporate governance and finance. He also serves on the boards of directors of both iKobo Inc. and Evault Inc., and as Georgia’s civilian aide to the Secretary of the Army.

DEV Systemtechnik appointed Jörg Sommerschuh sales manager. Sommerschuh is responsible for international sales of DEV systems solutions for RF signal transmission.
Eutelsat Adds Member To Board of Directors
Igor Zabolotny, deputy director general for business development for the Russian Satellite Communication Co. (RSCC), has been added to the Eutelsat board of directors, RSCC announced.
Futron Appoints Peggy Slye To Lead Space And Telecommunications Division
Futron Corp. appointed Peggy Slye director of the company’s space and telecommunications division. Slye will lead the division that provides market forecasts and analyses, technology assessments, launch and satellite databases, and Futron’s FCC filings subscription service.
Slye previously was at Intelsat, where she served as senior director of integration, focusing on the merger of Intelsat and Panamsat.
Iridium Appoints Campbell Executive Vice president
Iridium Satellite LLC has appointed Lt. Gen. John Campbell, U.S. Air Force (retired), executive vice president for government affairs.
Campbell joins Iridium from Applied Research Associates, where he served since 2004 as principal for defense and intelligence following a 32-year career in the Air Force.
