The launch of an Ariane-5 rocket carrying DirecTV’s DirecTV-9S and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency’s LDREX-2 satellites was delayed by 24 hours in order to conduct checks on components of the launch vehicle, Arianespace announced Oct. 11.

The mission now is slated for Oct. 13, with the hour-long launch window opening at 5:56 p.m. local time at the Spaceport in French Guiana.
