Blue Sky Network (BSN), a global-logistics provider for two-way linking and managing transportation assets via satellite, announced Sept. 19 it will offer existing MagnaStar customers special pricing on BSN Iridium satellite communications to minimize downtime.

When Verizon announced that its MagnaStar Airfone service would be terminated in December, approximately 4,000 customers were at risk of being left without an airborne communications path. BSN says it will offer all such MagnaStar customers a discount for converting to BSN’s Iridium-based equipment and service before the end of the year.

The BSN satellite voice and data solutions for aviation include various options for portable and fixed installations.
