Andrew Corp. and Gigasat Ltd. signed a multiyear agreement that makes Andrew the exclusive original equipment manufacturer of Gigasat’s flyaway antenna family in North America. The Gigasat flyaway antennas, available in 1-meter, 1.2-meter, 1.8-meter and 2.4-meter sizes, will expand Andrew’s offerings in the military satellite communications market, Andrew said. The lightweight carbon fiber antennas come with transit cases that enable baggage check-in on commercial airlines.
