NDS announced Sept. 8 that SES Americom will distribute NDS Synamedia Metro IPTV middleware to the North American telecommunications market.
Digital rights management service provided by NDS Videoguard protects content on 65 million set-top boxes. Application development environment based on NDS Mediahighway middleware is currently running on 41.6 million set-top boxes.
This is the first global distribution agreement for the recently released Synamedia Metro software.
