Telenor Satellite Services, a subsidiary of Telenor of Norway, has chosen Fabio Alencar to lead Telenor Satellite Services’ Brazilian operations.

Alencar now heads Telenor America Latina Comunicacoes Por Satelite LTDA and will focus on expanding Telenor sales of satellite communications services throughout Brazil and South America, the company announced Sept. 7.

Alencar most recently managed the Loterias da Caixa Network (national lottery project) for Comsat International.
