Mobile Satellite Ventures (MSV) won another in a series of patents issued to the company for its advanced Ancillary Terrestrial Component (ATC) technology.

The U.S. Patent Office awarded MSV a patent Aug. 15 for the company’s broadband hybrid satellite/terrestrial communications network. The wireless communications systems allow user devices to receive information from terrestrial base stations using terrestrial frequencies and relays information back to the base stations using satellite frequencies.
