Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp. delivered the Nextsat Commodities Spacecraft for Boeing Co.’s Orbital Express, Ball announced.

The satellite, being developed for the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), is designed to conduct the first autonomous docking with another spacecraft. Orbital Express is scheduled to be launched before the end of 2006.
