Hot Bird 8 Launched Aboard Proton Rocket

A Proton Breeze M launch vehicle placed Eutelsat’s Hot Bird 8 satellite into orbit Aug. 5, International Launch Services announced. The satellite, built by EADS Space, will provide service over Europe, the Middle East and North Africa from an orbital slot at 13 degrees East.
