The South African government announced July 27 it approved the creation of the South African Space Agency, which will manage and execute the country’s national space science and technology programs. The agency also will conduct long-term planning and perform space-related activities with the South African Council for Space Affairs. The space agency will report to the Minister of Science and Technology.
