Eurockot Launches Korean Satellite

Eurockot Launch Services GmbH launched the Korean Kompsat-2 satellite July 28 from Plesetsk Cosmodrome.

The satellite, built by the Korea Aerospace Research Institute, will provide monitoring and mapping services using a multispectral imager. Kompsat-2 is designed to operate for three years.
