Telenor Satellite Services unveiled its mobile satellite emergency communications response kit designed to allow emergency responders, government agencies and humanitarian relief organizations to establish essential communications during emergencies. The 28-pound kit provides voice, data and Internet communications when local infrastructure is damaged or destroyed. The kit includes a Hughes Broadband Global Area Network terminal, a foldable solar panel, Voice over Internet Protocol and adapter as well as an accessory kit with current adapters.
