XM Names New President, Reaches Agreement With ASCAP
XM Satellite Radio appointed Nate Davis to the newly created position of president and chief operating officer, the company announced July 24. Davis has been a member of XM’s board since 1999.
Most recently, Davis served as executive in residence at venture capital firm Columbia Capital. He also has served as president and COO of XO Communications and held positions with Nextel and MCI.
Separately, XM and the American Society of Composers, Authors & Publishers (ASCAP) reached a new five-year music licensing agreement that will allow XM to continue to broadcast more than 7 million works owned by ASCAP.
