The French Navy selected France Telecom Mobile Satellite Communications and Eclipse to provide satellite broadband communication services for military aircraft, EMS Satcom and Eclipse announced July 17.

Eclipse, acting as the project manager, will work with the French Navy to install EMS Satcom Enfusion Broadband High-Speed Data systems on six maritime patrol aircraft throughout the next two years.

EMS Satcom will receive about $2.3 million from the overall $60 million contract.
