Comtech Mobile Datacom Corp. received a $2.4 million order for its satellite data communications transceivers, parent company Comtech Telecommunications Corp. announced July 12.

Comtech Mobile will supply the U.S. Army with its Model 2011E mobile satellite data transceivers to be used for Blue Force Tracking, or identifying friendly forces.

The order was placed under Comtech’s $418.2 million U.S. Army Movement Tracking System Contract, bringing the total value of orders made under the award to $260.4 million.
