Showtime, the Middle East direct-to-home operator, is stepping up its plans in the digital video recorder (DVR) arena as the operator plans to introduce it in more countries across the region.

Showtime was the first of the major pay-TV operators in the Middle East to introduce a DVR service, launching in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait earlier this year and following with expansions into Bahrain, Jordan and Qatar. The company now has announced plans to roll out the Showbox DVR to additional markets throughout the coming months.
