Harris Corp. signed an agreement with Sky PerfecTV, a Japanese direct-to-home satellite service company, to provide a high-definition (HD) version of Harris’ playout automation application and its media ingest application, Harris announced June 29. The order was placed through the Harris Japanese distributor, Itochu Cable Systems Corp.

Sky PerfecTV owns a 35 percent share of the Japanese pay-TV market.
