Roadpost will provide Iridium satellite emergency communications for Medstar Health’s personnel and facilities, Roadpost announced June 26.

Roadpost will install nine multichannel fixed terminals at Medstar’s hospitals and facilities and offer up to four independent channels to be used for incoming and outgoing satellite calls. Roadpost also will supply Iridium hardware, monthly services and 96 mobile handsets.

Medstar also uses Iridium systems on its four medical transport helicopters to provide automated tracking and voice communications.
