Quake Global unveiled a small, low-cost modem that works with Iridium Satellite‘s global short-burst service, Iridium announced June 23. The Q9612 modem, about the size of a deck of cards, will provide worldwide data links for asset tracking and monitoring applications. The model will begin shipping in July.
